Mahendra Singh Dhoni (About this

July 7, 1981) is an Indian cricketer and the current captain of the national
cricket team India off in limited formats. A drummer gifted striker middle
order and wicket-keeper, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest riders
of limited-overs cricket. He made his
One Day International (ODI) debut in December 2004 against Bangladesh, and
played his first test a year later against Sri Lanka.

Dhoni captaincy has many records,
including most wins by an Indian captain in Tests and ODIs, and back-to-back
most wins by an Indian captain in ODIs. He took care of Rahul Dravid ODI
captaincy in 2007 and led the team to its first ever bilateral ODI series wins
in Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Under his captaincy, India won the 2007 ICC World
Twenty20, CB Series of 2007-08, the 2010 Asian Cup, the ICC Cricket World Cup
2011 and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. In the final of the 2011 World Cup, Dhoni
scored 91 not out off 79 balls to take India to victory for which he received
the Man of the Match. In June 2013, when India beat England in the final of the
Champions Trophy in England, Dhoni became the first captain to win three
trophies limited overs CPI (World Cup, Champions Trophy and World Twenty20).
After taking the test captaincy in 2008 and led the team to victory in the
series in New Zealand and the West Indies and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in
2008, 2010 and 2013. In 2009, Dhoni India also led the team, the number one
position for the first time in the ranking test ICC. In 2013, under his
captaincy, India became the first team in 40 years to whitewash Australia in a
Test series. In the Indian Premier League, was captain of the MUNDI to victory
in the 2010 and 2011 seasons with victories in the editions of the Champions
League Twenty20 2010 and 2014. He announced his retirement from tests in
December 2014.

President of India Cements Ltd., after resigning from Air India. India Cements
owns IPL team Chennai Super Kings and captain Dhoni has been since the first
season of the IPL. Dhoni is the co-owner
of the Indian team Chennaiyin FC Superliga.
Dhoni has been the recipient of
numerous awards including the ICC ODI Player of the Year in 2008 and 2009 (the
first player to win the award twice), the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna highest
civilian award in 2007 and the Padma Shri , bathroom India honor, in 2009. He
was named captain of ICC World XI Test and ODI teams ICC World XI for 2009. The
Indian Territorial Army conferred the honorary rank of lieutenant colonel to the Dhoni 1 November 2011. He is the
second Indian cricketer after Kapil Dev received this honor. In June 2014,
Forbes magazine ranked Dhoni to 22 in the list of the highest paid athletes in
the world, estimating their income at 30 million. In 2011, Time magazine included in its annual
list Dhoni Time 100 as one of the "most influential people in the
world." In 2012, the classification Dhoni SportsPro the sixteenth most
marketable athlete in the world.

Groom Dhoni Sakshi Singh Rawat, originally from Dehradun, Uttarakhand 4 July
2010. At the time of her marriage she studied hotel management and worked as an
apprentice at Taj Bengal, Kolkata. After the retirement of her father's business
Sakshi tea culture, her family moved to her birthplace, Dehradun.
The wedding took place one day
after the couple became engaged. Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu, a close friend
of Dhoni, the wedding was planned for months and was not a spur of the decision
