Another legend says that Sriman Narayana, happy penance Yada, Sri Anjaneya sent to direct Rishi in a holy place where the Lord appeared to him in the form of Sri Lakshminarasimha. This place is marked by a temple at the foot of the hill Yadagiri and is located about 5 km from the present church. There, the sage loved the Lord for many years.

After Yadarishi attained moksha, a number of tribal groups, hearing of the presence of the Lord came to worship in this temple. But, not being very wise, those devotees began to participate in the undue worship, therefore, Sri Lakshminarasimha moved to the hills. The tribes tried for years to find his Lord in vain. After many years have passed, the Lord appeared to him in the dream of a pious lady in the tribe, directing his great cave in which it was revealed to all, as five majestic Avatars.
