Katrina Kaif (pronounced [kəʈriːnaː kɛːf]; born Katrina Turquotte, also spelled Turcotte, July 16, 1983) is an American actress of British India and model. She is best known for his work in Bollywood films and appeared in Telugu and Malayalam films. In addition to being one of the highest paid Bollywood actresses Kaif is quoted in the media as one of the most gorgeous celebrities in India.

Born in Hong Kong, Kaif and her family have lived in many countries over different periods of time before she emigrated to India. Kaif received her first modeling assignment as a teenager, and later pursued a career in modeling. At a show in London, filmmaker Kaizad Gustad gave her a role in his movie Boom (2003), a failure of the critics and the public. During the filming of the picture in India, Kaif started receiving other missions. She soon a successful career as a model has been established, but the filmmakers were hesitant to cast because of his poor understanding of Hindi.
