Anushka Sharma (pronounced [ənʊʂkaː ʃərmaː], born on May 1, 1988) is an Indian actress, producer and former fashion model. In 2008, she was signed by Aditya Chopra for three movies with Yash Raj Films and consequently made her acting debut in the drama of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi Chopra. She received critical acclaim for her role as ambitious wedding planner in the 2010 romantic comedy Band Baaja Baaraat. Both films earned him nominations for Best Actress at the Filmfare ceremony. Sharma played a supporting role in the 2012 romantic drama I will love you until death, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Because these early achievements, Sharma was quoted in the media as one of the most promising actresses of Hindi cinema.

Early life and background

Sharma was born May 1, 1988  in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh  Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, an army officer and Ashima Sharma, a housewife. Her father was a native of Uttar Pradesh, while her mother is a Garhwali.  Sharma grew up in Bangalore. She has an older brother, Karnesh, which is in the merchant navy. He studied at the School of the Army and graduated in Mount Carmel College of Arts.  Later, he moved to Mumbai to pursue her modeling career, where he currently resides. [Citation needed]

From November 2014, Sharma is in a relationship with cricketer Virat Kohli.

2007-10: Early work and advancement

Sharma said he originally planned to pursue a modeling career, and had no aspirations of becoming an actress.  She began her modeling career at the Lakme Fashion Week as a model for Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show and was selected as the final model Rodricks Spring Summer '07 Collection. Since then he has done campaigns for Silk & Shine, Whisper, Nathella Jewelry and Fiat Palio. [Citation needed]

First role was in Aditya Chopra Sharma Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), opposite Shah Rukh Khan, in which she plays a young bride with a middle-aged man. Film critic Taran Adarsh opinion: "Anushka looks the character and surprises you with a confident performance is a great achievement to share screen space with an actor of the caliber of [Shah Rukh Khan] and Anushka manages very well from the beginning so ..
