Ileana D'Cruz (born November 1,
1987) is an Indian actress who appears in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. She
won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - South for the 2006 Telugu film
Devadasu. She appeared in films like Pokiri (2006), Jalsa (2008), Love (2009)
and Julayi (2012), stating that one of the main Telugu actresses. D'Cruz debuted with Kollywood Kedi and made a
comeback in Nanban Shankar (2012).in 2012, made her Bollywood debut with Barfi
critical and commercial success of Anurag Basu, for which she received critical
positive reception and Filmfare Award for Best Female debut.

Early life and education
D'Cruz was born in Bombay, and
grew up partly in Mumbai and partly in Goa.
Her first name comes from Greek mythology, ie, Helen of Troy. Her family
moved to Parra, Goa when she was 10. Her
mother tongue is Konkani.
