 Samantha Ruth Prabhu (born April 28, 1987) is an Indian actress and model, who works primarily in the industries of Telugu and Tamil movie. Samantha was brought up in Chennai and pursued a modeling career as a teenager. Despite the signing of Ravi Varman Moscowin Kavery in 2007, her first release was the critically acclaimed 2010 Telugu romantic film, Ye Maaya Chesave Gautham Menon led, which brought her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - South.
